Letter from Joey Elias.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the 3rd Annual Joey Elias Charity Golf Classic will be held this coming Monday August 3rd 2009 at the beautiful Ile Perrot Golf and Country Club.

Again this year our goal is to raise funds that will go towards bettering the lives of those living with Diabetes. As we have heard over the past year obesity is a growing problem in our country and with that comes an increase in the cases of Diabetes. The money raised this year will go to the Children’s Hospital Diabetes Clinic – the first of its kind in Canada. Our ultimate goal is to no longer have a fund raising tournament – meaning a cure has been found!

In these tough economic times, it is important to still remember and help those who truly need our help the most, those who are suffering with an illness that is yet to have a cure.

We hope you will join us on our special, fun filled day either by joining for a full day of food, golf and prizes – or by sponsoring a hole and/or donating prizes.

Our golf organizing committee is hard at work, ensuring that the day will be one of fun, great prizes and of course a delicious breakfast buffet and steak dinner prepared by the chef at Ile Perrot.

Our big prize has already been secured and it is; a Westjet pass for 2 ($4000 value). There will also be other great raffle prizes, a silent auction and lots more.
